meltinpot

The Hip Hop culture emerged in the USA in the nineties. Together with glisse sports that also became popular at the time, they influenced fashion trends for almost a decade.

In 1993 Meltin'Pot became the first brand in Italy to pick up on this radical stimulus and we reinvented American streetwear according to Italian and European tastes and styles.

In a short space of time and with great determination, Meltin'Pot became a familiar brand for a group of demanding, attentive and fond observers of less obvious trends.

In the years that followed the brand changed incessantly, growing ever stronger. Structures, people, investments and the opening of new markets taught us what to do and where to head for: growth is an important business!

The mother company, Romano's passion and know-how for denim products did the rest. Our jean range gets ever more powerful and better fitting. The basic line is constantly reinterpreted and refined.

The needs of its increasingly demanding and informed public push it constantly towards more effective solutions. B_SIDE has recently turned the market upside down and today hundreds of thousands of people wearing "inside-out" skirts and trousers" (even as I say it I can hardly believe it!).

Collections are researched more and more carefully and room for innovation, as opposed to what the current financial situation might suggest, has become much wider. Rediscovering classics such as the chinos trouser tailored in cotton fabrics treated with denim transformation techniques (the EVO_BASIC line) and satisfying our ever more heteroglot clients' demands for something new and fashionable (the GO-GO_Style line) are the challenges that we have taken up with our usual determination.

Today you can recognize a Meltin'Pot garment by the person who is wearing it. Perhaps it's because you can tell they're proud of it. And perhaps that's really all they needed to say about themselves from the start.
